Author’s frustrations

It just seems to never end. You finally finish the rough draft. then immediatly you get into waiting for the editor to find all the mistakes. When You get that back, make the corrections, and start to think “It’s finally ready to go.”
you get the copy to be checked you find that something major changed somewhere in the process that is going to create a correction forcing a one week delay. No matter how frustrating things seem, they always have a silver lining. The good thing is it gives me and my wife one more week to find anything that can be found to get corrected before it hits the market. It does delay things a little but it is a blessing. I need to more patience anyway.
Learning through all the frustrations is not easy but if I refuse to learn from them than I will continue to have them until I give in and learn what I need to know anyway. So here goes one more lesson to learn on top of the thousand others already on the agenda to learn. I think I’ll make it through.

New publisher – new look.

I am working with a new publisher – CatPav Publishing – and am excited about the changes!

She is working on some great covers for the books, along with a republish of Trainer. The covers are totally awesome and she is getting final copyright info needed. I should have the cover for Trainer’s Revenge this coming week!

Trainer’s Revenge is Complete!

I finished Trainer’s Revenge and it is now in editing. You can read the excerpt from Trainer’s Revenge HERE!

I am praying for financial support to publish this book as I have been indefinitely laid off from my daily grind job! I have been in contact with several different self-publishers looking for the best deal.

Since I will be home most of the time (i.e. pounding the pavement/keyboard for a new job) I have already started Trainer’s Demise, the final book in the trilogy. I am now about 3000 words into the approx. 80000 words! Yes, a long way to go but I have a lot of time on my hands right now.

For those in the Kalamazoo area, I will be signing books at the Barnes and Nobles on South Westnedge St. in Portage, Mi. on January 25, 2009 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. I look forward to enjoying a fun time and meeting many new people.

I am planning a “Book Release” party. The date is set at January 10, 2009. It will be held at Crossroads Missionary Church at the corner of M60 and Silver St in Mendon Township, Michigan. It will be another time to enjoy getting to know many of my potential readers. The books will be available there. Those purchased there will be signed, as if it had to be said. Enjoy the food fun and fellowship with me. Come back for more info later! Any books sold at this event will be $14.99, $3.00 will go to the Crossroads Missionary Church building fund matching grant.

I got home from work today and my five free books were here waiting for me. I am so excited to finally know that they are done and out.

Now to get around to ordering for book signings, etc. I have one place already lined up to put the books out on consignment. How many to order is the next question!
